William R. & Arlene F. Ruegamer Award

The Ruegamer award recognizes graduate students for excellence in biochemistry research.

Fellows of Chemical Biology

FCB is a student-run organization dedicated to advancing professional development, organizing outreach events, and fostering social engagement by connecting students with scientists from a wide range of career fields.

The Chemical Biology Seminar Series brings leading researchers from academia and industry to Gainesville to share their latest discoveries. These seminars give students, postdocs, and faculty the chance to engage with experts across chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, biophysics, pharmacology, and related fields. Graduate students are also encouraged to meet with speakers in an informal setting, fostering mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth. In addition, seminars hosted by other divisions in the Chemistry Department and across UF frequently feature researchers with interests in chemical biology, which students and faculty from our division regularly attend.
